Broner was protected and really untested, yet he was the main event on Showtime. Now he has been tested.

Prety much this. He was taking cheapshots, he had the ref on his side and still tried to feign his way out of the fight.

I don't like him but Berto fought like a warrior v Ortiz and Karass with one arm. Broner just looked for easy ways out, he didn't quit, but he tried to con his opponent out of the fight.

You can't expect people to have praise for someone who acts like he does. It's like he said, he wanted people to hate him so when he get's humbled he's not going to get the respect that he perhaps deserves.

He definitely showed heart and courage but I've got no pity for him.

The way he acts with the little he has, the reaction is expected and understandable.
