When a fighter says this contract for 6 fights will be my last 6 fights then I'm retiring for good. This means the fighter is cashing out. So with that mindset, this fighter is looking for opponents that are going to put the most people in the seats. With Bradley and Manny's contracts ending in 2014, those fights can be # 5 & #6. So with 2 fights down, who will be #3 & #4. One has to ask, who does the public feel has the best chance to beat Floyd or give him the most trouble. Right now most feel Khan's speed would give Floyd the most trouble (I don't). Like Maidana's beat down of AB, this is what most people want to see happen to Floyd. Some people think Thurman can. Some think Garcia can. Some even think Maidana can. First and foremost, Floyd is not AB. Floyd is not going to stand there to be hit just to hit you. Floyd will move, slip, dip, and counter you all night long. Floyd really does not care if he get's the KO. I personally feel he mentions the KO after the fight just to piss people off. In reality, who watches a Floyd fight expecting him to KO his opponent? People watch Floyd fights hoping he gets KO'd, that's why every time you see a 140, 147, or 154 pounder KO someone you scream that Floyd won't fight that person next or Floyd is ducking that fighter. So in my opinion, Floyd will fight the non TR fighter that GBP and he feels will put the most as*es in the seats. Those who like to watch Floyd, will appreciate his dismantling of his opponent. Those that don't like Floyd will find a way/ make an excuse to dis-credit his performance of opponent. While Floyd laughs all the way to the bank.

At this stage of his career Mayweather won't be beaten. There is no one remotely in his league. As that's the case, I'd rather see him fight the most interesting opponents.

Mayweather would win every round against Maidana. However, I believe the speed and combination punching of Khan, Pacquiao, and Thurman might make for interesting fights. Mayweather would still win, but he may eat a lot more leather than usually is the case.

Maidana arguably fought the fight of his life last night against Broner, who I think we can all agree was overrated on an almost biblical scale. Much credit and props to Maidana for derailing the hype train, but Floyd almost assuredly smokes him. Cruises.
