I wouldn't be surprised if Maidana pulls it off. Last night was shown how you break the Philly shell and abuse it. You have to make it a tough, rough, ugly fight and you have to bully them. Similar to what Cotto did with mayweather, only Cotto doesn't have as much power and wasn't willing to get dirty and wild.

If I was from Philly i'd be pissed if someone called what Broner was attempting to do the "Philly Shell'. There simply is no comparison when it comes to Broner and Mayweather; unless you are talking about activities outside the ring.

Seems that they're really desperate to find Mayweater an opponent. This is a God awful match-up, and won't be competitive at all , not in the least. And for Maidana, it would be a moral victory if he wins one round. Thurmon would be a much better competitive fight for Floyd than Maidana.
