Canelo went from "Floyd is going to duck Canelo, Floyd is going to feel real shots from a real big JMW, Floyd's most dangerous fight in years" to Floyd fighting an inexperienced on dimensional fighter.

Just because YOU weren't excited with the fight doesn't mean that's universal. Damn near 99% of the people here or elsewhere said this was THE FIGHT they wanted him to take.

Lol at expecting Floyd to fight at 160 against Sergio, but no one expects any of the real 154 fighters to do that, let alone a small 147 fighter like Floyd.
The only advantage Canelo had was weight, but of course that's not enough to beat Floyd. Majority of the people wanted Floyd/Canelo, it was made, they bought tickets/PPVs and watched Floyd outclass Canelo like most of us knew he would. Not much more to it than that. I feel the same way about Khan/Mayweather, just make it and get it out of the way.

Floyd/Martinez is not an expectation, it would be a luxury to see. Floyd has shown the skill level necessary to win, and Sergio isn't much bigger than DLH and Canelo. Ideally, Floyd would stay at 147 and fight twice a year against other titlists and contenders from any promotion or network.

I'm sorry but comparing Floyd vs Canelo to Floyd vs Khan for May is sick......a sick joke

For me it is clearly between Golovkin or Maidana who have clearly made the most impressive noise this year by far. You talk about two phenomena's in boxing this year and the Maidana fight will come up, so will the beast called Golovkin too.

If had to vote, I'd have to go with Maidana. What he did on Saturday night considering how the odds were completely against him makes up for 4 good fights in a year. It was incredible what he pulled off and how he did it, in shocking/devastating fashion. The highlight of the boxing year IMHO.

Mikey Garcia and Yaegashi should have been on the poll.

Anyway I think Stevenson should probably be fighter of the year.

            Agbeko is irrelevant ?!

Hmm, winning 12/12 rounds in all score cards of professional judges in a championship fight against irrelevant former champion ISN'T EASY !

                Stevenson?

Anyway looking at the poll, Maidana's win really was an emotional one for those that watched it, he's second leading in the poll. LOL

Very close this year. I'm going for Bradley, though. Two very good wins in Ruslan and Marquez and one FOTY candidate. Maidana a close second.
