AB never fully recovered from the assault he took at the beginning of the fight. In the second half of the fight, Chino was dawg ass tired and was basically fighting in spurts. AB had opportunities to pull it out and he tried his best with what he had. The KD in the 8th ended for him. AB should have abandoned his stay calm, economical style earlier. He probably would have gotten KO'd. But when he threw caution to the wind in the last couple rounds he had Chino. He just didn't have enough in the tank to fininsh it. I re-watched the Paulie fight this wek. And AB had some very big rounds in the middle rounds. But he faded at the end, and that's when IMO Paulie won the bulk of his rounds. Tonight he had a bigger guy on top of him all night beating the **** outta him and it pretty much drained him. He got hit with some bigtime body shots that didn't help either.

    • They won't give him a rematch.GBP can't afford having him lose twice in a row, Schaefer looked ill during the fight.

But he should totally work on fixing that. After Brone fought Paulie, one of the first things Floyd said is that Broner makes a lot of mistakes and fights very flat footed.

I was expecting the same Broner. I couldn't call who would win though because I see Maidana as a streaky fighter. You never know which version will show up. And Broner, I wasn't sure if he would be able to deal with Maidanas size and power.
Not to bash on Paulie, but if the same Broner that fought Paulie entered the ring against Maidana, Cotto or even Morales..I'd pick against Broner every time. A smaller boxer fighting flat-footed against bigger & stronger punchers is almost suicidal.

Of course Schaefer looked ill. Its fairly obvious that AB's move to 47 is because they were attempting to build him into a PPV star. And at the least a guy that stirred up enough interest that you could stick him in a PPV against Floyd and do massive numbers. Not to mention the financial hit GBP took tonight with the money they investing in this show giving it a PPV level promotion and not even getting PPV revenue. Now, he's stuck with a kid that's a good fighter. But one that is likely gonna be relegated back to fighting in small venues for very lil money. The best they can hope for with AB now is to get him back down to 35, let him win a coupke fights, and hope you can do a sizable show with Gamboa. And that's gonna be a **** or get off the pot night for AB. Or, with the headache AB is to promote. He may give him his **** or get off tthe pot moment in his next fight and put him back in with Chino. If he wis, great. They can chalk it up to him not taking the first fight seriously, blah, blah, blah. And if he gets his ass kicked again that's even better. Because they can release him from his contract, give him a few dollars, and tell him don't let the door knob hit cha.

What I'm saying is technically, as far as boxing skills go, Mosley has more things than Broner does. Prime Mosley up til Margarito/Floyd time. Floyd brings so many skills to the table. Mosley had more skills than Broner, and that's why his style would be better.

The greatest flaw with Broner is his flat-footedness. That is a HUGE deal. Mosley doesn't have the same flat-foot. Just off that alone, Mosley has more resemblance than does Broner. Broner has absolutely nothing in skills to rival Floyd other than the shoulder roll.

You might as well start comparing Andre Berto because he used the shoulder roll against Guerrero. The only reason the comparisons are made is because Broner uses the shoulder roll. Take that away and the comparison is very comical. Even with that, it's still comical anyway.

Well let me tell you a lil story, about a time where i was blessed to have a drink and a time to talk boxing with the great emanuelle steward a few months before he passed....i asked him the epic question that i felt tyson was one of the best fighters of all time, and he humbily disagreed and said "bigger guys who wernt scared of tyson were often too much for tyson"i believed him to a degree...then i asked him if broner was rightfully compared to the great mayweather over any fighter in the last 15 years!!he agreed and said"broner has all the characteristics of a floyd mayweather from the flashiness to the ring style, that he was the only fighter that resembled floyd"....i asked him wut about shane?he said shane had speed and was good at mimicking floyds style but in no shape or form is his style like floyds"""and i agree...broner tried to hard to be like floyd which was his downfall!!
