Again, I don't understand where the Floyd comparisons come from. To me, he's more a blend of James Toney and Winky Wright. But again, those guys had elite skills. AB doesn't. So he's not gonna make a living fighting bigger guys.

he should of fought more boxers at 147 but wanted to prove himself vs a hard puncher and you cant blame him all the way but it was way to early, el chino came in with the right idea to jump on him early, he knew he had the power to hurt broner all he had to do was connect a few if not 200 some times!

But come on guys, this fight has nothing to do with Mayweather vs. Pacquiao! Different fighters, different levels!
But you FAIL to see the connection...ortiz and guerrero get a mega fight against floyd because they beat berto..,why doesnt maidana get a chance now to fight floyd after beating the fighter everyone compares floyd too???you dont think floyd would pick maidana over pacuiao???!?whether you believe it or not mayweather and cloners name is linked, becuz of styles...maybe not now cuz cloner got beat!!!!!!!! THERES ONLY ONE MAYWEATHER,ONE MAYWEATHER,DANCING ALONG SINGING A SONG,DANCING IN THE WINTER WONDERLAND!!

Why not make a Mayweather-Maidana if the Pacquiao fight is not going to happen? I think Maidana posses a big enough threat. I mean honestly it would be interesting. I say Maidana fans as well in that fight as Cotto did with Mayweather if not better.

Thurman-Maidana is a great fight, but I don't feel like Keith Thurman deserves it quite yet. Maidana's fought everyone.
Floyd would carve Chino's ass up like a Christmas turkey. If he's gonna fight a Maidana type. I'd much rather it be a Kirkland or maybe even Angulo. Because at least those guys are bigger and stronger than Floyd. I would probably pick Floyd to stop Chino.

He can stay in the pocket and make Chino miss and make him pay. Problem is, he's not good enough defensively to consistantly make Chino miss in close quarters. Option number would be go Margarito and walk Chino down, which is what he had his most success doing. Problem is% he doesn't have the chin, especially a bugger guy that's a good puncher to consistantly take the shots he's gonna take going that route.

In a nutshell, to be successful against bigger and stronger guys, you have to be great at something. Floyd is great defensively. So he's capable of making the bigger guys miss consistantly. Pacquiao was able to carry his speed and power with him up the scales. Which makes him a complete nightmare for bigger fighters. AB is very good. He's good but not great defensively. He's fast, but doesn't have elite speed. He can punch, but doesn't have special power. So at the end of the day, AB isn't gonna make a living fighting bigger guys. He needs to take his ass back to 35. He needs to cut all the celebrity **** short. And he needs to start building a real resume instead of trying to manufacture events with cute storylines.
Your missing the giant point. Adrian Broner (tonight) would have fanned very well against most of the top welter weights. The thing your not looking at is the fact that Maidana fought so well.

If you really understood boxing you would have caught a lot of subtle things in this fight. For one, Maidana mastered broners defense. He knew broner was so arrogant that he would reach into the right kind of faints and that enabled him to land some tremendous left hooks, and really allowed Maidana to **** that body. He evaded shots constantly and was always at distance. The issue isn't Broners size. The thing to speak about is Maidanas tremendous I.Q. I know this sounds crazy but hear me out. Maidana knows exactly what he can't do, and what he can do, and he has mastered his own craft. He's improved so much since the Devon fight it's crazy.

I wanna see Maidana Mayweather. I don't think Maidana wins, but he has a terrifying style for mayweather that's for sure. I believe he can implement Cotto's plan from his fight with money and do it a lot better.

wonder how well broner will take such a humiliating defeat. wasn't he talking about committing suicide over something? past all the bull****, dude seems unstable.

I disagree. Mosley was faster than Broner. But more importantly, Mosley is not a flat footed fighter like Broner. Floyd is not a flat footed fighter. So Broner would be horrible sparring preparation just off that alone.
