Shane had dominated Collazo, while Hatton struggled against that same fighter.
typical freedom, forgets to point out shane's toothache. but thats for another thread.

Wlad has almost equaled Joe Louis record. He deserves credit for the longevity. But the quality of opposition mitigates the magnitude of this achievement.

His next fight is putrid yet isn't even his worst.

So? Billy Conn is without question one of the 30 greatest fighters that ever lived on this planet. Also, he's not Louis' best win.

But let's look at some Vitali and Wladimir's best wins: Adamek, Haye, Gomez, Byrd, Chambers etc.

All these guys fought below the 200 pound limit.

Weight doesn't win you fights, skill and ability does. I don't see why the size of a fighter is a big deal to you? especially as the Klitschko's best wins come largely over guys who were 1) a helluva lot smaller and 2) fought in lower weight classes.

I dont think much is separating Wlad from Larry Holmes reign. Perhaps Norton, but that would be just about it.

Larry Holmes beat some decent fighters, as did Wlad.

But I don't think there's any question that Holmes has the best resume. Also, he doesn't have KO losses to journeymen.

Well you can pick one. I like how he smashed Byrd and Peter to pieces.

He's knocked out 17 fighters who were never stopped before.

                Thompson, Chambers, Chagaev, Pianeta, etc.

Shouldn't that count for a little respect?

I would probably say the Chagaev stoppage.

Well, not Pianeta. but the rest, yes of course.

I have always given Wlad respect for fighting everyone in his division. and to his credit, he tends to stop his opponent - but it's undeniable that on a few of his biggest nights, much was promised - little was delivered.

However, in this post, I was just seriously wondering who his best stoppage win was against. I'd say it was Chagaev - what do you think?

It's outright ridiculous how they try to belittle the Klitschko era. There's clearly some jealousy involved. Ukraine is a city in Russia, right?
