I think Duran is one of those combatants that epitomizes "FIGHTER". Put on this earth to fight. Not play football, not run, not be a swimmer, to beat other human beings up, simple as that.

he fought everybody. although he did disgrace himself by quitting against Duran his large body of work more than atones for his lapse in judgement.

look up fighter in the dictionary. his picture is there. if you've followed the sport during that time you'll understand why he's respected and clowns like Mayweather are not.

I see glimpses of one another every time I see those two fight so it's interesting that you put both in the same sentence

Duran moved from 135 to 147 and beat a prime and unbeaten Sugar Ray Leonard.

Pacquiao moved from 135 to 147 and beat the corpse of Dela Hoya.

Both will fight anyone- no questions asked

and they had great ability to stand in the line of fire and actually were at their best in those type situations,,

If you came to fight, toney and duran would be more than happy to oblige, and they had great skills while in exchanges, both offensively but more importantly defensively

2 of my favorites to watch
