Rios, who passed four of the VADA-administered tests leading up to his match against Pacquiao, failed the urine test afterward. He tested positive for the banned substance methylexanamine, a stimulant that is commonly known as dimenthylamylamine or DMAA and has been used in dietary supplements.

"Efforts to reach Alex Ariza, Rios' fitness coach, were unsuccessful."

    tsk tsk ariza
a stimulant? How do you take a stimulant and still look like a zombie and throw 5 punches a round. This guy is a bum

Rios was caught through VADA's testing, not a Commission's test.
NSAC has had random urine testing for awhile, some MMA fighters have been caught before.

          Not for professional boxing.

          http://www.thesweetscience.com/news/...radley-marquez

Executive Director Keith Kizer of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) says the state’s first run at employing an advanced anti-doping testing program for a professional boxing event was a success.
NSAC contracted SMRTL to conduct the advanced testing program for the October 12th Timothy Bradley vs. Juan Manuel Marquez bout at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It is true though that they have done it for MMA fighters. But just no real or strict random drug testing (urine or blood) for pro boxing before Bradley vs. Marquez.

With something like that it does actually matter, it is not Captain America serum it is some minor ass shit you can get over the counter.

Now it is banned so whatever trouble comes is his fault, it is like the difference between weed and PCP he got popped for some weed like shit not some super human hulk shit so it should be treated a such unless he was on an extreme amount.

                  • roach would be going absolutely nuts right now if manny weren't on the gear back in the day under ariza.

this doesn't look good for boxing.

                    • "Brandon had the genius, Ariza, trying to help him make weight," Bob Arum said. "It is not the fighter's fault. It's the people who are conditioning him. He's following orders on what to eat and drink, so I don't blame him. Brandon's not a nutritionist. It's generally the conditioner's fault if the kid doesn't make weight. This is Ariza's fault.

"The fighter, in my experience, follows religiously what he is told to eat and drink. If he's being advised by people who consider themselves experts, but who really don't know s---, that's when you get in trouble."
