if it's coming up on bscene, you can bet that the promotors have given it some thought. these guys aren't dumb. if it were a no brainer they'd be there already.

joel casamayor was probaby the biggest cuban draw in miami, and he never sold well. in the past i'd pull up an article outlining such. these days, i just don't give enough a ****. all of casamayor's big fights were in vegas and elsewhere.

now, that said, rigondeaux has nowhere to go but up. you saw how few people were at his last fight. maybe arum should try miami.

It's a damn shame that there is no market for him. He is honestly one of the most skilled fighters I have ever seen. It must be galling for him to see an equivalent talent and defensive-minded fighter like Floyd make $40m a fight, while he's getting blackballed.

He is simply going to have to take more risks, inside and outside of the ring. It's not fair but then boxing rarely is.

I dont think Cuba Gooding Jr. would be interested in Rigo regardless of where the event was held.

He should retire or fight non-televised undercards.

Perhaps people would pay more to watch him stand in front of a ball machine and duck weave and dodge with zero offense for 12 rounds?

Bookmakers have ball machine at +175 could be value...

You can see why HBO don't give a damn about him.

Yeah, I'm not claiming to have uncovered a brilliant marketing strategy here, I'm mainly curious about why it doesn't happen. There's close to a million Cubans living in South Florida, and with the cultural significance of boxing in Cuba you'd think that they're a prime market. I don't get it.

People are comparing Abgeko to Clottey...

Clottey is a good defensive boxer. That is his style.

Abgeko is a good offensive boxer. That is his style. He is not a good defensive boxer. The fact that Rigo couldn't put more than 1 punch at a time on him was pathetic to watch.

Abgeko is NOT a good defensive boxer. Rigo made him look like a defensive boxer because he couldn't land more than 17% of his shots.

In fact one of the few times Rigo got confident and opened up Abgeko landed a punch and Rigo RAN the rest of the round.

Why do Rigo stans insist he's a star fighter? He's not.

Roger will be the first one to tell yo Agbeko didnt do **** yet Rigo is the boring one throwing 800 punches at a fking clottey impersonator only way he was going to get him down is if he broke his leg.
Then its obvious Rigo doesn't know how to cut off the ring seeing as how he didn't knock out a guy who didn't punch.

He will keep beating all the in your mind good fighters you like and y'all who are whining and the nuthugging press will keep whining as well but in the end skills and being a winner > everything else. Nobody can mention 1 name in the lower weight classes that would hold a candle to Rigondeaux legitimately and it burnssssssss.

Watch Pacuiao clottey compare and Clottey seems reckless in comparisson Agbeko was stationary but he has a chin and was shelled up RIgo has power to scare him but not to catch him if he dont open up at all which he didn't only choice was break his damn leg.
