  • It's amazing how many people on a boxing forum love to see an event fail.

He doesnt have to take "insane" risks. He just needs to take routine boxing risks. I understand dude is a counter-puncher, but he has the ability to put more than one shot together and get guys out of there.

      • If boxing was based on tournaments where the guy who wins the tournament makes the most money then Rigo would be king. But boxing is a disorganised scramble for opportunities where show business matters as much as talent. And even though Rigo's an A+ in talent, he's a D- in show business right now.

It's bull****, but it's not something that's likely to change before Rigo hangs them up, so what can you say really. The guy needs a new angle.

there's something about a guy who talks **** and can back it up that people love to hate. they'd tune in to see him lose, and along the way they'd figure out how good he is. floyd mayweather, anybody?

he's a natural 118-122 lber, and i want him at 130. that's the point that was at the heart of what i was talking about.

read the entire post next time if you want me to be bothered to reply in the future.

            • Its sad that rigo doesnt pull ratings, this was a legit fight, too bad agebako pulled a clottey and was just there to survive,,,

The showtime ratings werent much better,,

Rigo will probably never be a draw because only hardcore fans can appreciate him and put up with the boring fights,, casual fans could careless

He should hire Mayorga as his spokesman.

                  • We wont see this guy on TV for a long time.

Disgraceful performance, complete shut out 120-108 yet Rigo petrified to throw a combo and put Agbeko out of his misery.

If rigo needs tailormade opponents to match perfectly with his style to make an interesting fight he should not be headlining a card ever. His ******ed fan base are demanding opponents fight aggressively into Rigos strengths further giving them disadvantages.

Face facts Rigo lost 30% of HBO audience and most of the arena walked out, looked like someone called in a bomb threat.

                    RETIRE IN PEACE RIGO

                    Farewell

                    • This may have been answered in the thread already, but why don't promoters have the Cuban stars fight in Miami more often? Surely the Cuban public would come out to support a legend like Rigo?
