Tis sad times for me now. Where will the next Paul Williams come from. I cannot wait.
I still pray one day he can walk again.

Punisher was one of my idols growing up, I was tall fighting at welter in the ams. I always looked up to him.

    Incase anyone missed this interview

(don't know how to make it a player sorry)

This myth that every WW ducked Paul Williams needs to die too. He was a good fighter, but he gets more credit than I think he would've based on how he had to leave the sport IMO.

On that, I hope "The Punisher" is doing well and hasn't given up on walking again. Based on his heart in the ring, he's working at it everyday.
Williams and some fighters pushed a pretty popular fighter into retirement bubba. Not just picking on him Pac didn't want work either

Because he wasn't fought by Mayweather and Pacquiao doesn't mean he was ducked by the whole division. That is constantly pushed around on here like it's fact and it's not true.

Paul Williams was a true warrior inside the ring and he's such a positive and great person outside of it. It would be amazing for him to walk again and be involved in boxing again even if it's not fighting but maybe as an analyst. Always wishing the Punisher the best and hoping that he is able to one day walk again.

possibly. Maybe it's a coincidence as soon as welter gets hot May retires. not hating on Pac he did some dirty work. Maybe it is a coincidence but it's a fact May ducked Margarito so it is what it is. Margarito Williams similar styles. May just ducked Margarito tho.

I'm not denying Mayweather or Pacquiao wanted no parts of Prime Williams in his prime at WW. Too much risk, not nearly enough $$$ for them to even consider it.

I say it mostly because posters love to say Cotto ducked Paul Williams and that's an outright lie. Made me expose my hidden agenda.

How the hell was Pacquiao ducking him? By the time Pac was fighting at WW, P-Will was fighting at JMW/MW.

Nah Cotto didn't duck him. I truly think Cotto would fight anyone, Cotto one of the best resumes in boxing right now.

And I'm not saying Williams would have beaten floyd either. hell Quintana out boxed Williams. Never know though Floyd never fights taller fighters or fighters with longer reach. I'm just saying
