Al Haymon stole the fight from Zab. They had the scorecards for Paulie no matter what....Yoel gave Zab the word in Round 7 and Zab was pissed cause he knew he had to knock Paulie out and make it a fight to win...he wasnt gonna be allowed to win on pints.

They stole it from Zab how they stole the Broner fight from Paulie.

Paulie is playing politics and smart and good for him. But he aint' whoop Zabs ass.

Zab caught the jabs with his ****ing glove some got it but he got the same amount in on Paulie plus the knockdown. Whatever.

Malignaggi is a skilled boxer for people blinded by speed. There are so many different facets to this sport besides speed and power, and there's a number of fights that have exposed Malignaggi's limitations besides his lack of power.
you make good points,, yes pauli does have his limitations but so does every fighter, except for maybe floyd

My point is that if pauli had power, he would be more dangerous and would probably have gotten some top level wins that he has missed out on..

Prime cotto, hatton, khan are the only guys to beat a prime pauli,,, Cano got robbed IMO but pauli is on the downhill slide by that point,,,,

Pauli with power, would have been a tough out for anyone from 06-11

Fair play to Paulie. He made that pretty easy work of Judah.

Similarly Malignaggi was able to keep Broner at bay with good footwork late in their fight. Paulie's a mover, a very good one. With a little bit of power instead of being a B level boxer in his prime, he might well have been an A level fighter.

Being able to control distance well usually means avoiding getting tagged consistently, which is something Malignaggi has never been able to do. Why? Because he has no head movement and his footwork is crap. Don't confuse running with good footwork as most misinformed people tend to do because it's not the same.

why is paulie getting no respect for shutting out judah last night ?
THE SAME JUDAH who went LIFE AND DEATH with garcia ..
but garcia gets all the praise in the world ?
im not a big paulie fan i just need some help understanding the mindset of the posters on this site
i honestly find it amazing the guy has had this longevity with no power
he basically beat broner (whos some sort of god on here )
                    n spanked judah
i DID have cano beating paulie though

                    is it bc
                    1) boring fight/style
                    2)no power
                    3) bc hes a white american fighter

You sound serious.....a shame, but for inquiring minds answers must be had! Judah did last night what Judah has been doing for pretty much the second part of his career. A lot of people feel like Garcia is a bit of a hype job (me for one). So a lot of people think Paulie is on a different level than Judah and Garcia.

Indeed! he did expose Bronner. I happen to like Paulie quite a bit but I don't accept that

                    a) Judah is anything but perhaps the best, gate keeper in boxing right now.

b)Garcia has proved to be anything but a great Philly/Puerto Rican hope/hype job.

I leave this door open though...maybe Garcia is really good, lets see it. Lets see him do as well against Bronner as Paulie did for example.
