I kinda understand why so many people are saying this would be a difficult fight for Mayweather but I disagree. Lara looking good against Trout doesn't translate to him having success against Mayweather. Yes Lara is slick but who do you think Mayweather is sparring with? He wouldn't be facing anything in Lara he hasn't seen in sparring let alone in a real fight. Easy win for Mayweather, followed by a lot of gripe that Lara wasn't ready, and he was a cherry picked fighter.

Lars looked good in a few fights but he's also looked like complete crap at times. He's no more deserving than the rest of the bunch. And no I don't mean khan. That name should even be struck from the convo. Now if Floyd actually fought Lara the good. But that's far from a must see fight rite now. There's only 2 of those for Floyd and those can't happen. If Lara is his best option, which he is absolutely not, then that would be different.
The two fights your talking about I'm guessing is PAC and Bradley..If so,I agree I don't see those fights being made..With that being said, who is a better option then Lara right now??I also doubt Garcia takes the fight, unless he is offered a crazy amount of money..Like 6 to 8 mill..

You really think he's sparring JMWs that are on Lara's level?

Don't get me wrong, he's in there with some slick guys, and they're no joke, but Lara brings a Cuban pedigree that none of those guys could touch.

It's not about what Mayweather might do, it's about seeing him do it..Like I said, if he can fight Guerrero and Ortiz who really had no business in the ring with Mayweather..He can fight Lara..It's a good fight..

Maybe not on Lara's level but what I'm saying he has seen Lara's style before.

I would take Mayweather's pedigree over Lara's any day.

I would take the fact that Lara dealt with another slick guy his own size over Floyd's wins over slicksters at WW.

Lara, while being slick, has the punching power equation. Not to mention, he's got the longer reach, by a hair.

I can't remember the last time Floyd's fought someone with the longer reach.

You have a valid point but Lara isn't fighting at WW like Ortiz and Guerrero had been doing.

IF Lara doesn't get Alvarez than he should really think about making his way to WW if possible. If everyone thinks it's ok for GGG and or Martinez to move down to fight Floyd than people shouldn't have a problem with Lara doing it.

Floyd's a 3 time lmw champ, so Lara doesnt need to move down to fight a fellow LMW champion, does he?

Again, I wouldn't compare what Lara did to Trout to what he could do against Mayweather. Trout is slick but was a tad too slow to get to Lara. Not only is Mayweather quicker than Trout, but he has the presence to see Lara's counters coming way better than Trout did last night.

It would be an interesting fight and would love to see it. I just don't think it would be that difficult for Mayweather.

anyone against this fight, is not a boxing fan. spare me the excuse Floyd only fights at 154 for money. He has 3 fights there, is a 2 time divisional titlist, he's a Jr middleweight. Save the excuse that Lara isn't a name. Ortiz and Guerrero are not name fighters and Floyd and his fans had no problem with those fights. According to Floyd's fans, Floyd is the ppv king on his name only and sells 2 mil based on his name. take the fight Floyd.
