To hit somebody you have to start by throwing punches he did not do so at all after he got hit a few times is not like he threw 50 punches the first round couldn't hit Rigo and went "Awww fk this **** im gonna cover my face". That was a transformed fighter we saw in there but he was good enough to stay on his feet and that is all he tried to do he was legit turned into Clottey and Pacquiao's better crazy offense couldn't even make a dent on that guy, it is not as easy as you make it seem to get a world class boxer out of there when he is in survival mode. Rigondeaux lacks competition to look good against that is all i thought Agbeko was going to be his usual self and the fight would have been great but he straight up got his mind changed for him i thought roger was gonna slap him at some point to get him to throw punches.
Rigo lacks a few things

That would be true if Agbeko was an imbecile who did not know anything about Rigondeaux. To hit somebody you have to start by throwing punches he did not do so at all after he got hit a few times is not like he threw 50 punches the first round couldn't hit Rigo and went "Awww fk this **** im gonna cover my face". I'm pretty sure they had a game plan 'to see" if it would overcome the style. Agbeko went in throwing , and Rigo made him miss. And it was the much too common pattern with Rigo. He hit and was elusive , he hit and was elusive. Agbeko wasn't even getting anything with some good attempts at the body. NOTHING!!!
Agbeko knew who he was in there with. He knew he was going to get pot shotted with tremendous speed. Anyone who didn't him doing it is an idiot.
But you go believe and hype it with "Agbeko always throws 200 punches a round , Rigo surprised him and terrified him"
I know what I saw. It's not like Roger Maywesther told him , to go all out on a brawl , that Rigo would engage and get caught. They knew what they were going into.
Why would Roger slap him , he knew Rigo was too fast and elusive and that he would never engage or risk anything. Playing it too safe I tell ya. But you don't want to admit it.
He lacks those things. I'm not the first or last person to notice.Last edited by MODAPHUKA; 12-08-2013, 03:39 AM.Comment

The only thing missing by Rigo in the boxing world its a fan base.
And its gonna be hard since very little public its a fan of 100% pure boxing hit and dont get hit.
Me i think he is a genious and really enjoy watching someone so skilled fight.Comment

Rigo did take his soul in the first minute. He did indeed "Shang T'Sung" him from the get go.
Rigo beat him on the counter and on the offensive. Agbeko, shelled up and had the chin (and body) to stay upright. If Agbeko tried to make it a fight, he would have been 'teon kennedy'd
You can't fault Rigo for anything in this fight. If ever boxing was argued to be an art, Rigo made the point and sadly, like all the greatest artists, he just won't be appreciated in his time by the general population.Comment

Rigo just punished him relentlessly. I'm not sure how many times Agbeko was stunned. I counted like 13. I literally saw his soul float above his body in the first ropand when Rigo hit him with that 6 punch combo that snapped his head back. Yeah , now I remember.
I swear....
How many 10-8 rounds were there?
Rigo pot shotted his way to a UD and Agbeko had no clue on what to throw or when to try anything. He was clueless.Comment

That's not what I implied at all. When a known offensive, high volume fighter suddenly glues his gloves to his ears and throws single digit numbers per round it can be said that his "soul" or character has been taken from him. It's not that hard to grasp. You are right , you are right.

And since when do 10-8 rounds determine how good a fighter is? If anything, saying something like that just exposes you as a someone who only watches fights for the knockdowns.Last edited by RA-Box; 12-08-2013, 04:37 AM.Comment

Dude got hit like 4 times in a round and you find a way to complain? He treated Agbeko (no scrub!!) like a child. It was downright awful and frightening. Take risks? He's doing all the landing. Take risks? Why? Hes dominating world class guys to such an extreme youd have to be an idiot to do that. Getting hit 1-3 times in a round is a dream round. No chin? He took the biggest puncher's power in or near his class with Nonito. No one hits as hard as Donaire within a few classes..except for maybe Rigo. He didnt clinch, just boxed masterfully. The fact Agbeko went into such a defensive mode speaks volumes about this performance. Agbeko normally has great courage and he just had no answer, no resistance... If Rigo fought any of us in the thread it'd look like that.. We'd land maybe 1 or two insignificant shots and get demolished along the way.
Dude's a genius. Poetry in motionComment

i think his problem is he's one-dimensional in his offense, no right hand = makes it hard to land on the lead
imagine what a simple committed right hook around agebko's guard would have done, it would have made openings for his left hand
lara same thing, no right hand, which could have gotten him the stoppage in the trout fight, opening up opportunities for the left hand
makes you appreciate a southpaw like pacquiaoComment

This exactly, most of these posters have never been in the ring themselves so it's easy to TALK a good fight.Dude got hit like 4 times in a round and you find a way to complain? Or why does he not do this or that, or I would have done this.
Bullsh\t, thats why you and I are watching and he's the one doing and like no one I have ever seen in over 35 years of watching and competing In the Sweet Science.
Boxing is "hit and not be hit"
Pure art from the artist known as Rigo
EDIT: No killer instinct? He had Nonito running like Carl Lewis in the Last round of his fight with Rigo.Last edited by U_TALKING_2_ME?; 12-08-2013, 08:18 AM.Comment
