Good read, i laughed at some of the things schaefer said. I agree arum should just accept a fee and allow his banner to be shown allowing golden boy to handle promotions but hbo would prob not go for this.

Arum is stuck right now, he knows he has to cash out Pacquiao but he also knows that if he goes along with the deal he losses all the leverage he has now at HBO.

If he gives up Pacquiao to SHO for this mega fight he probably makes millions but they probably drop his ass just like they did Golden Boy. He would be stuck in no mans land and you better believe Pinoy Power and Latin Fury's would be in full rotation.

After these horrible Pac/Rios numbers which probably didn't even hit 400k PPV in sales, Marquez retiring and Chavez jr being a lazy POS as usual Top Rank is in a bit of a pickle.

That's actually not true. The number most claimed it did was 890. Very, very respectable in nearly every situation, but obviously a financial loss when you consider how much Floyd was paid.

And opinions like your's is why Arum will continue the smokescreen game. Will continue match Manny with either inferior opponents and in-house top fighters in which he'll likely be able to control outcomes. And continue to milk Manny, and his gullible fans like yourself. Because the Rios PPV numbers show that without Manny viewed as a legitimate threat to Floyd, his drawing power is non-existant. How people are ****** enough to go for this bull**** is amazing to me.
