Why can't Manny just for once take control of his career and really push Arum to make the fight happen? Unlike other Top Rank stablemates, Manny has the power to force Arum's hands to make it happen, but he'll rather sit back and let Arum be his puppeteer.

That's what I'm saying. Floyd always comes up with excuses. What happened to the testing? It's gone? Now it's Arum's disappearance.

Yeah and after Pacquiao turned down the testing in the first negotiations cause he was juicing,Arum kept on going around saying Floyd turned down 100 mil and claiming he ducked Pacquiao and making up other B.S.That had to have pissed Floyd off.

As annoying as Schaefer is, he completely owned Arum there. Not that it means much - Bob doesn't take anything on board, and nor is there enough impartiality, intelligence and clout from boxing writers to actually create a legitimate discussion out of the points he is making.

Saying that, using Arum's own Donaire-Mares template against him was just perfect from Schaefer.

The simple fact is, Arum never wanted this fight. Neither did Floyd but at least he has moved on and isn't pretending he wants it. Arum has spent years trying to destroy GBP and refusing to work with them - but now is telling everyone that GBP should come to the table to discuss?

Floyd`s people is the one that called Arum top try to make the fight with Pacquiao back in 2009 on bwhalf of Floyd.Arum and Freddie roach didn`t even want the fight,cause when people first asked them about it back in 2009,they seemed like they didn`t want the fight.Floyd offered Pacjuice 50/50 as along as him and Pacquiao take a random test.And he even sent the contract to Arum back in 2009,but Pacquiao refused to sign.Floyd don`t really care about the fight now,but back then he wanted the fight.

Good read, i laughed at some of the things schaefer said. I agree arum should just accept a fee and allow his banner to be shown allowing golden boy to handle promotions but hbo would prob not go for this.
