The last fight they had was Hopkins vs Murat that's ages ago. HBO has been giving fans weekly fights.

They have back to back quadruple-headers coming up starting this week... and all 8 fights are interesting IMO.

Agree to it? Golden Boy was the one trying to make the fight. They offered a record breaking amount for a fight in that weight class, and Bob Arum wouldn't even attempt to negotiate. He wanted to make the fight under his banner and pay the fighters a lot less. Why would Golden Boy or rather Mares agree to that when with HIS promoter he would be splitting a % of 3 million dollars?

I repeat there is a reason Donaire attempted to leave Arum and sign with GBP.

Because they think that by admitting that it's Arum who doesn't want the fight it automatically means Pacquiao doesn't want the fight.

Sad thing is I and many others here actually believe that Pacquiao wants the fight, but know it's Arum who doesn't.

I refer you to this interview with Ellerbe written almost two years ago. In it he states perfectly why it is ARUM who doesn't want the fight. That Arum doesn't want Pacquiao looking at the books and seeing how much more money Mayweather makes than him because then Pacquiao will realize how much uncle Bob has been screwing him over the years.

In my opinion, the main obstacle on why, and this is solely my opinion, is why [Bob Arum] hasn't made the fight, is because this would the first time where Manny Pacquiao was able to see what's in the pot of money. And for all of the other pay-per-view fights that he's fought, obviously he would see and obviously he would know that Floyd makes tens of millions of dollars more than he does and he would look at that, in my opinion, and say 'I've been underpaid.' See, because the books would be open. That's my opinion.

Top Rank, in my opinion, want to make their fights internally because they want to control both sides of the promotion. They want to keep the money in their house. That way, the revenue that's in place, they control the revenue. They pay the fighters what they want to pay them, in my opinion. Nobody is looking at their books and challenging what's what.

He used it as an example and you know full well that BOTH sides didn't agree to it. So that is the way it would turn out for the Floyd vs Manny attempt, which is much much bigger.

Arum at least said let's talk. Schaefer said F$CK OFF to Arum! So even if you don't believe Arum, at least he had a brighter outlook at this. Schaefer's attitude stunk right thru!!!
