what was your prediction for sales? Based on that prediction, did this fight flop or not?
Also, if a poster said foyd/ghost was a flop at 850k-1 mil ppv's doesn't it make sense to say manny's with 500-550k is one too?Comment

No you have to be knocked out first. Then it's not a flop.Originally posted by The Big Dunnwhat was your prediction for sales? Based on that prediction, did this fight flop or not?

Floyd, undefeated, still has the allure of, "can this guy beat him?"Originally posted by The Big Dunnwhat was your prediction for sales? Based on that prediction, did this fight flop or not?

Manny just got KTFO, brand name tarnished, considerably. Fighting a guy that couldn't even sell 20k PPVs by himself.
You're smarter than a 5th grader.

if you say so. I think manny boxing rios was the smart move. but people didn't know he woul do that going in.
Floyd/ghost sold as many or more ppv's as manny/rios and tim/JMM combined.Comment

I don't disagree with you, you may be right. I honestly think the number is low "if true" because the main event was between two fighters 0-3 combined in their last three fights along with a terrible undercard. This was a poor card all around. Anybody in their right mind knew Manny would dominate unless he was completely done. A ESPN rematch, a showcase fight for a guy in his second fight and two below average heavyweights was the undercard. Top Rank tried to sell us garbage and it looks like people didn't fall for it "if true".I see what you're saying, but I think the fight location has somewhat of an effect on how people think about a fight. Before the fight, I was telling people at work that this was in China and they felt like it must not matter that much if it's not in Vegas. On top of that, the promotion didnt seem that big for this fight.
500k sounds about right for Pac fighting Rios in China without huge promotion.Comment

You didn't make a prediction on sales in the prediction thread. OK. Maybe someone will heck and we'll see if you are lying or not.
