Also since it's Bob reporting these #s assuredly they are probably lower.
This wasnt about china, they canceled the $5.00 ppv thing it's about ruining Manny stock so Manny cant ask for these big guarantees or even worse leave for a Mayweather match, Im sure he knew about tax issues also, now when Manny comes to him asking which already has happened, Manny would be fully indebted, he has got his hands tied on some slave sh**. He'll have manny fighting for pennies by the time next match comes around

If Roach truly cares about Manny, him and Manny flky alone to Schaefers house and see whats what and his true stock.........

Manny "just got KTFO" Pacquaio, going up against "human punching bag" Rios wasn't supposed to put up mega #s. It was a tune up fight, and it happened to be on PPV, because if you can sell 500k and up, you're gonna be on PPV.

          It's really that simple.
but you would think that they would do aleast 700k to 800k because peopel want to see if mannny had any thing left in the tank. thats why ibrought this fight.

And if he fought a "tune-up" how does that show he should be next for Floyd. I mean it was a "tune-up" against a "punching bag"
The promotion was horrible from start to finish, I nearly missed the fight thinking it was a week later.

What made things worse is they expected us US people to pay 60$ when they were trying to sell it for $5.00 in China, the Chinese thought $5.00 dollars was too steep, and ending up showing the fight on free tv. So they wanted people to pay 60$ for a ppv being the first with 2 fighters coming off L's, when even the chinese knew this was a regular tv match and showed it for free, thats rubs me wrong, even though I wanted to order, only in Arum land

The trash card aint help Golden Boy may have changed the game as far as ppv's go....

But if you read anything on these boards, it was 90%, "this is a tune up fight, waste of time." Because it was Rios. I think you gotta look at it from that perspective as well.

              But your point stands.

I don't know how they lost big on this. I mean 500k ppvs in an Asian economy? You're not talking dollar spending here. The only thing taxed here by the US was the PPVs shown on American Cable and Satellite, everything else was tax free. Why do you think American companies opt to go overseas instead of making jobs available for lazy Americans?
