Froch doesnt deserve any criticism for what he said. We can disagree, and i can see his point of view, but there should be a rematch considering the fact Groves gave Froch was clearly outboxing and hurting Froch early. He did better than Kessler and every other opponent other than Ward.
There is nobody that wished that fight went on for a few more seconds than Froch...and I believe that's all that Froch needed. lol

Froch should be the one egging on a rematch to prove he can do it again - rather than fueling the doubters minds and perceptions that he was lucky to get away with two of his titles...

Fraud Froch! How about you answer Stevenson's call?

I know Froch has reputation of an endless stamina, but to my eye he was gassing as well. In round 7-8 he was getting quite sloppy and looked desperate at times. It isn't out of the question he would run into something huge even after that exchange.

His legacy would be harmed if he continue without giving Groves a rematch.

If he chooses to pass Groves he might end up with much bigger problem - facing GGG. GGG would KOed him and it would be ugly.

definitely an early stoppage & he was winded...a fighter doesn't get his 2nd wind in the round, normally around rounds 5 or 5...fighting like the he did a good match 4 him would b vs JCC Jr, a tossup, IMO...

How can anyone state, in some form, the following?: "The ref would have called in anyway, I know Froch was going to stop him." news flash, nobody can predict that outcome. That is why the rules are so particular and why a ref should know not to jump early.

This arrogance is only enhanced by Froch's sense of entitlement. The fans owe nothing to you mr Froch, the ref screwed up and you were an arrogant **** about it.

Because some if my fellow posters seem able to predict the outcome why not simply assume Froch will win the rematch? or barring that Froch could one up the legacy of super protected Sven Ottke and take his all seeing ref with him on the road.

Aundrey Ward is smart not to fight this club fighter outside of Oakland.... not unless the ref is at least baseline compitant to know when a fighter is still fighting... as opposed to assuming, predicting, interpreting any other actions aside from a fighter not fighting back when being hit.

                I am a Brit.

UK fans need to stop crying.

Our refs do thisr to foreign fighters all day long and we cheer. Not so good when they do it to one of our own is it?

Can't have it both ways. Either we say **** early stoppages for every fight or it will continue because refs get conditioned to stop it early.

The reaction of the fans has left me baffled too. Now I'm not saying Froch isn't a plonker outside of the ring with some of the arrogance he shows but IMO I think a guy who has achieved what he's achieved deserves to be at least a little bit up his own assh*le sometimes and while we're on the subject lets talk about Groves. He is just as bad with his comments that he'll finish Froch in 6 rounds.......based on what exactly George? You decked Carl in the 1st and landed your best shots on him throughout the fight but could not put him away. You then got weaker as the fight went on while Carl got stronger and to cap it all off YOU put yourself in a position where the ref didn't think you were capable of taking much more damage.
I can't believe the reaction of the fans. Carl has been flying the flag for us Brits against the best in the world and now all of a sudden you lot turn on him? Screw the lot of you. He has achieved more in that boxing ring than any of you losers could dream of in a million years.

No he wouldn't. Froch took everything Groves threw at him. Froch is much bigger than GG and a harder hitter. GG was getting ****** around by a midget in stevens.
