Can I ask how many contracts have you actually read? And even if half of it is true the Klit bros are hardly the only ones who have ever conducted business that way. I also believe the reason you hear so much about contracts when it comes to the Klit bros is simply because they promote themselves. And why shouldn't they? I also must have missed something because I didn't realize that Abdusalamov had fought Wlad or Vitali.

and if the guy ahead of you refuses to fight?
You're back to relying on corrupt sanctioning bodies taking action. There's no easy answer but unfortunately in addition to Wlad holding 4 titles, Vitali holds the WBC crown and he won't defend it either, getting extension after extension. It's a joke.Last edited by joe strong; 12-05-2013, 08:14 PM.Comment

I used abdusamov as an example of what could be the end result & he got $40000. I never said he fought them i just said who would want to have 3 fights in a row with a klitschko. HWs make a fraction of what they use to make. Lots of contract talks in the 1700 HW fights i've posted. Have i seen a contract? No but purses are often posted on the internet, on the fight network ticker, talked about on broadcasts.Comment

You don't fight the guy below you then you lose your rank. As i said they could have the top 2 guys fight to find #1 & 3-10 fight elimination style tourney. Getting in the top 10 would require world class wins. I'm sure they could keep a few regional belts to help decide rankings. Anything is better then super duper champions & ruby belts...it would be tricky on the voluntary side of things. I don't really know what you could do...
You're right. However, if the WBC belt is freed up, surely Wladimir is one the first who deserves a crack at it? He is, after all, the holder of the other HW straps.
My fear is that the WBC will 'give' the belt to Stiverne or Wilder, and they'll keep it hostage until Wladimir retires. Its a vicious circle.
As you say, mandatories SHOULD be take precedent over voluntary defences. In Wladimir's case, so few guys want to fight him, that he's having to look elsewhere for opposition. There are plenty of good fights on offer in the HW division, it's just a shame promoters are unwilling to make them.Last edited by Weebler I; 12-06-2013, 02:14 AM.Comment
