Is there any options that Mayweather has at 147 that are not cherry picks?

those fights arent a reality. so the answer to the original post is no1.

I know what your saying but I think It would be better for Danny and to hype up the fight.

Yeah but people want to see him fight cruiserweights so you just have to laugh at them and take their opinions with a grain of salt.

Title defenses against ranked contenders is how boxing has always worked and how it is supposed to work.

i dont like that fight either. i just think ppl have some crazy unrealistic expectations of the dude. bradley and pacquaio are not possibilities. never were. bradley has even stated that much because he knows better. but yet if floyd were to fight any of the other ww contenders it would be a cherry pick? that doesnt even make sense.

People complain about everything literally, the last time Floyd fought an opponent that was widely seen as a cherry pick was Marquez, even then that was a tune up coming off of a 2 year layoff.

The worst part is that any fighter that May faces is a big threat to ne fighter they face not named Mayweather

                The mans standards are godlike
Consider this, the guy retires when the division was at its hottest. Margarito, Cotto, Shane, Williams, etc, were all fighting each other for the most part. All posed some type of threat. Then he comes back, against a career featherweight, at 147. Takes off another year, fights, takes off another year, rinse and repeat. All while calling himself the best ever.

That's the standard he created himself. How convenient that he comes back when the division is a wasteland.

perhaps they arent reality...but does that fact make a Thurman or Khan fight legitimate? hell no. and that is the problem in boxing right now.

see, this is where fans have to speak up and be honest. sometimes our favorite fighters choose garbage opponents and its ok to admit that. far too often we rationalize crap fight just because dumb fanboys open their mouths.

deep down i dont see how any true floyd/boxing fan can accept Thurman as a real fight. thats just a front to answer to haters. i remember when fans wanted their fav fighter to fight the best...they DEMANDED it. now people just pretend every opponent is the best.

dude, what is your issue? thurman is a legit contender in the ww division. for anyone else but floyd he is a great fight. is it floyds fault that he is so much better than anyone in or around his weight division? absolutely not. thats not how this **** works. if the guy is a ranked ww, then why the **** is it a bad fight? and im not even talking about the khan fight. but alexander and thurman? legit fights. u wanna belly ache about ******ity yet u dont understand the ******ity coming out of your mind. smh. just goes to the point of boxing fans being the worst sports fans in the world.

You didn't know? Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran,Henry Armstrong, Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes, Pernell Whitaker and all the greats of the past NEVER defended their titles against ranked contenders. They ALWAYS fought megafights 3-4 times per year against pound for pound ranked opponents no matter the weight class. Boxing needs to get back to those days.
