Floyd needed money when they negotiated the first time, he had IRS issues and made some money with the JMM fight but most of that went to Uncle Sam and possibly Oscar who may have loaned him money.


At that point in time needed money and beggers can't be choosers so even if he thought he was worth more the money was big enough to say fuck it. From that moment in time Mayweather got the blamed laid at his feet for that ordeal and had his efforts thrown back in his face which no one cared about. Also from that moment Floyd has banked being one of the highest paid athletes in the world ever since, so he felt he had leverage to play hardball and since trying to make it work did him no good why not try to fuck the other side sideways.

Pacquaio agreed to Mayweather's testing demands a long time ago. Then Mayweather wanted to keep all the PPV money lol. That's why I always wondered if this 50-50 deal was ever real. Why would Mayweather offer him 50% when he was always the "bigger draw"? Did he only just realise that when Pacquaio accepted the drug testing? Strange.

I'm a fan of both fighters, but looking back now I don't think the fight would have happened even if Pac say YES to all Floyds demands in the first negotiation.

I think Angel's just a straight up guy.

He respects what Mayweather has done in the sport and that he's the #1 guy in the world at the moment.

If say, you hypothetically fast forward 5 years and Mayweather is still fighting and has 5 loss's and is nothing but a fringe contender or stepping stone than Angel would think very differently ala Erik Morales.

Tell you what, the site has really changed since I left. There are very few of those radical Pacquiao fans left. Yeah, they're kind've rejuvenated following the Rios win but I notice it's really only a few hardcore dummies left. The events of the past two years was like
