What Ward should do is take the fights that will make him the most money. This is a business after all.

But whatever he decides I hope he doesn't move up until he derails the GGG hype train.

Same here although I think GGG is a very dangerous opponent and is worthy of the hype. A win over GGG would look great on Ward's resume and it's obvious HBO is setting these guys up to face off in the near future. Why would anyone want Ward to move up before this fight takes place?

I dont think Ward can make 160 without being as drained as Dawson was at 168 so Ward fans should forget it.

I'm sure a lot of people would. That's why its a good business decision to get that money fight before he moves up. Cash in on GGG, Chavez Jr. and Kovalev/Stevenson.

If he moves up now he only gets 1 of those 3.

and kovalev and steven are gonna have to head down from 175. they're worthy contenders to lord ward's lineage, they're just not allowed to eat or drink before the fight

Ward should fight Kessler in Denmark. He can move to 175 soon enough.

Nah. Ward should just retire. Kessler is just a faded euro bum at this point long past his shelf date. Kessler would lose and Danish boxing would be finished.

My biggest fear is Ward moving up and then beating the new killers there in boring fights.

He's done enough. Champ of super 6, 168 king, a great boxer but I kind of liked it when he was on the shelf and think he should stay there.

Ward is not a cherry picker he like Floyd at that age is trying to figure out how to become a PPV attraction. The Only fight that gets him there right away is Chavez.
As much as people like GGG or Kovalev they are not big draws so the fights won't generate him more money than fighting a guy like Rodriguez.

Froch is a name, along with Bute and Pascal.
Hopkins could have been on PPV but he is on Showtime.
