    Great power=assumed no skill

Both Adonis stevens and Kovalaev are very skilful boxers. Sure they are no Wladamirs or Floyd mayweathers.

But Again Jim watt describes them as plodding power punchers. Why is it the pundits and the general public wont accept that great power is a skill in itself.?

    Power isn't a skill it's a talent.

However power can be deceptive. We see a fighter knock out an opponent and say wow he is just that good!

Power is a gift, u have to be born with it, but there is a skill in how u utilise that power.

Power isn't a skill, it's an attribute. That being said, you're right that anyone with big power is assumed to have no skill on NSB.

of course you can. floyd isnt the hardest puncher but because of his timing and skill he has very good power. you can learn to get leverage and get better timing. power is a skill but its also an attribute you can be born with

That is exactly what I did when Matthysse knocked out Peterson.

Floyd has no better than average, timing and leverage etc is learning how to use power effectively not creating it.
