He won't likely beat Canelo, but it's great money.

To the other guy, if Martinez fights Cotto, they pay Rubio off. That's the standard procedure here. If Cotto fights Canelo, Martinez has told the commission that he'll fight Rubio.

Also, Cotto has fought good fighters, but funny how people say how he's fought "everyone." Floyd has a tougher track record. Lol.

The point there is that Floyd has fought awesome opponents, not that Cotto hasn't. Just try to name one fighter with a tougher list of opponents lifetime than Floyd that is currently fighting..... Still waiting.... waiting... yea... nobody.
Umm cotto foughtpacquiao the second best fighter of this generation the same guy Floyd been ducking, margacheato the guy Floyd ducked, younger better version of Mosley. He also fought Floyd hes taken on everyone and now will face martinez another guy Floyd wanted no...part of. So stop with that dumb ****

With him being towards the end of his career I think he'll take the money route. Nothing wrong with that.
That's always the case with nationalistic nuthuggers. That's why I always crack up when reality hits for a bit once they lose, only to be blind again by beating someone that he was suppose to (Delvin/Yuri).

Cotto got his cheap "revenge" vs Tony and cashout vs Floyd
he shoulda retired then rather than fight Trout
he can still make money off his name, but his choices are dangerous
Alvarez and Martinez both KO his ass
Floyd was ok since he didn't hurt him too bad, just beat him up
Cotto's gonna get damaged if he sticks around
beating Delvin didn't prove a damn thing
put him in with a threat and Cotto crumbles again

I give full credit to Cotto nuthuggers though. They are loyal and can find any excuse why he lost and why he is still a warrior.

I feel like Canelo went from overrated to underrated in one fight with Mayweather.

Both fights are very tough for Cotto. I would pick against him in either match up.

The only way he can beat Martinez is if Martinez is shot. If he's not, no way in hell.
Canelo would be the better fight.

I never understood why people hate on roach so much. Of you're an offensive fighter like cotto and manny are, roach is the best trainer for you. Sure he doesn't care about defense much lol, but he will bring out the best of you on the offensI've side. Taka Khan for intance, his best fights came under roach. U can say anything you want about paulie M or Judah, but no one has outboxed them and dominated them like Khan did. Not even Floyd. Sure he lost two fights under him but one he was robbed and the other he was dominating until he got caught with a lucky punch, can't blame no chin on roach. His two fights since leaving roach have been lackluster at best. No doubt in my mind that a trained cotto will give canelo more trouble than any other fighter at 154 right now....well I take that back..Lara would beat that ass lol

I think cotto knows that hbo expected him to stay with them. I think he's trying to find away to make every1 happy , which is impossible . We'll see
yeah this network battle is really dividing boxing right now preventing lots of good matchups. There ought to be a law

Cotto can beat Maravilla. I've always thought he could exploit Sergio's bad habits and make him look less than stellar.
