Sillakh is good but he isn't that dangerous to Kovalev, who is also an underrated boxer to go along with superior power.
Anybody think Sillakh is a bit dangerous?

Sillahk has good offensive talent but is he going to win a firefight over the long haul with a fighter like Kovalev.
Sillahk has poor defense and is not tough enough to fight like that against a quality offensive fighter.
I suppose it is possible he could hurt Kovalev early but outside of something crazy like that he doesn't have much of a shot.Comment

I said it before, this fight will tell us a lot about Kovalev. Sillakh is definitely going to be his toughest test. I know he got KOed before, but he's slick, he has power himself. The Grachev fight was a fluke. He was schooling Grachev that entire fight winning every round, and Grachev landed a counter right on him when Sillakh got lazy and with his left hand. There's no doubt that he beats Grachev in a rematch.
If Kovalev blows through him though, I have no doubt he's going to become the undisputed the champ.Comment

He carries a hell of a punch? Is that based on his stoppages of journeymen? The best opponent he stopped was probably Daniel Judah.8/1 underdog, are you kidding me?
I like Kovalev a lot but I think this is potentially a risky fight.
Sillakh I think its fair to say he doesn't have the best chin in the world. Kovalevs chin hasn't really been tested and he was down against Boone in the 7th round.
I think Sillakh is a good fighter, a lot better than he gets credit for & lets be fair, he carries a hell of a punch himself.
I have no doubt he stops Campillo, I think he a bad match up for Cleverly too.
I could see Kovalev ploughing him but another part of me thinks Sillakh could potentially outbox & counter the hell out of Kovalev and dare I say it, potentially win.
I just can't shake feeling this is a risky fight & Sillakh is underrated because of his stoppage loss to Grachev.
I think you're seriously overrating Sillakh, just like everyone did prior to him being unable (unlike Campillo and Cleverly) to cut it against a fringe-contenderComment

There is no danger on Kovalev's part. I think the danger lies for Sillakh. Kovalev is practically the best or second best in the division right now. It's between Kovalev and Stevenson at this point on who is the best.Comment

I don't need to see him knock out world class opposition to see he clearly packs a punch. He dropped Despaigne & Grachev and was knocking guys out the ring in the AMs. Its clear he can whack.
I wouldn't say I was overrating him maybe you're underestimating his ability.
I think he can cause problems but at the same time I could totally see Kovalev steam rolling him.
Nothing would shock me in this fight. I think it could prove to be far from a gimmie for Kovalev. Sillakh has all the tools to make Kovalev look real bad, whether his chin holds up is another thing.Comment
