Any Kovalev fans know of footage from the first Darnell Boone fight that they can point me to?
Anybody think Sillakh is a bit dangerous?

We'll see. Kovalev is a very hard fighter to keep away, but you have to wonder what will happen if he's brought to the late rounds against someone. Not sure this is the fight where it happens.Comment

The odds might be a bit too wide but I'm fairly certain Kovalev will win by KO. I hate to say this because I've been following Ismayl for years and he has tons of talent, but he has a flaw that also hurt another favorite of mine Linares : a stationary upper body. Except that in Ismayl's case, it's combined with a low left hand which makes him extremely vulnerable to the straight right hand, Kovalev's best shot.
Add to that the fact that Ismayl took a lot of punishment in his KO loss and it may have done permanent damage, here's what happened earlier this year when he fought 7-2-1 Mitch Williams :

Getting wobbled by grazing blows is not a good sign going into a fight against one of the most dynamic and powerful offensive fighter in the sport right now. And I've seen Kovalev take big shots from Boone in the rematch without even flinching, he has a sturdy chin. The only question mark to me is whether or not he takes body shots well, and I know Ismayl can throw some mean body shots.
So my prediction right now is Kovalev by 5th round KO, as long as Ismayl gives it his all and goes out on his shield then I'll be happy.Comment

Too many blind fans of the "sweet science" when Sillakh is picked to win. The 8/1 odds were correct.Comment
