On a serious note I cannot think of a single respectable poster on this site, (or anyone I do in life), who'd discredit Floyd for even taking this fight.

But also just because Martinez has been struggling with gigantic middleweights lately that doesn't mean he'd do that bad against a smaller fighter.
    Me.

A gimped up Martinez? No thanks.

Anything post retirement, you can ***** about.

He ducked a whole division for 2 years.

That's the consequences of ducking a hot division. You're left with a 90 year old Shane Mosley as one of the top contenders.
        You're doing it now.

The same reasoning would be used if Floyd were to beat Martinez and plenty more.

Wouldn't Martinez be 90 years old?

Yeah well, I really don't hold your opinion in high regards these days. Last thing I think of when I see you is the fact that you genuinely believed Garcia had absolutely no chance against Mattysse. After that you went full troll on me. You kinda remind me of maniac lately, that's sad.

Yeah, but why does that matter?

People would recognize that being a great fight, and no matter what I think about Floyd/Sugar (my opinion), people in the boxing world still recognized it as a good fight, and the numbers proved it.

As long as we get to see Floyd in there with a very good fighter, that can actually put up a good fight, who cares about whether people **** on it?

            The money would be right.

So there's nothing else to say about it.

Wow, people won't give him credit for the fight, but he's the money man, he'll be making bank off this fight.

Just the same people that discredit everything Mayweather does.

This fight has multiple reasons to discredit it, it's obvious that if Mayweather fought Martinez next that the list of excuses are going to inevitably arise.

Lol I could give two ****s. Like you never had a wrong prediction. I guess you dont respect 90% of these boards then. FOH son.

I give Floyd more credit for Canelo than if he fought a handicapped senior citizen.

So you're agreeing that it'll be discredited?

                  That's my entire point.

I'm not really bothered myself but it is what it is.

Here's my thing. I get it, Floyd wants his money with the least amount of risk. OK, I get it. I don't agree with it as a consumer, but I get it. Let's get that out the way.

As a fan of the sport, and a consumer, I want Floyd in there with someone that I think can put up a good fight, or has the chance of beating him. Yes, I want to see him lose, I'm not gonna lie, but I also want the element of suspense when I'm paying $70 + for a PPV.

As we all should. So please, STFU about all this no credit non sense.

Assuming he won of course. Which is not set in stone.
