By usual crowd you mean the pro Pacman crowd maybe?? The same guys that that are trying to say Floyd is ducking Khan?? Do you know any respectable members who'd claim that?? Or are you simply saying that to dismiss the idea of the fight??
Just the same people that discredit everything Mayweather does.
This fight has multiple reasons to discredit it, it's obvious that if Mayweather fought Martinez next that the list of excuses are going to inevitably arise.
tell us how you feel about Marciano destroying Louis.
I think Floyd would get credit for beating Sergio at any weight higher than 154. I don't know if Sergio could get down to 154 healthy anymore. You never know. But this isn't happening, as I've said forever, Sergio needs to fight his own legit fights in his own division, but he won't.
And if Floyd fought Sergio, I'd say 3/4 would give him props. But just like the Mosley fight, there'd be those who change tune once it's signed or if he beat him.
Lol I could give two ****s. Like you never had a wrong prediction. I guess you dont respect 90% of these boards then. FOH son.
I give Floyd more credit for Canelo than if he fought a handicapped senior citizen.

Only son here is you. The fact that you'd give Floyd more credit for Canelo (a fighter he fought at 152), tells us it's all bad with you. Didn't say I didn't respect you, I just don't care about your opinion here.
Oh I see now. Let me guess, you're one of those guys who think the weight had something to do with Canelo's performance huh? Talk about people who like to discredit Floyd.
All I'm stating based off previous fights is what's going to happen after it.
People will use your "90 years old" line as one. The list of excuses are right there ready.
That's just the simple case.
And I never disagreed. I simply said that me personally, I wouldn't discredit the fight. I even admitted to discrediting the Mosley fight, so I'm not gonna sit here, and tell you I've never discredited any of his fights.
My point is, whether they want to discredit or not, it's a great fight, and it will make a ton of money. And whether 20-30% of the fans want to ***** and complain, it will only raise Floyd's stock that much higher.
We all know what happens when Floyd beats someone that's not in their best physical condition.
Floyd fan: "It doesn't matter whether he was prime or not, Floyd would've whooped any version of him!"
Does Floyd make him come down to 154 meaning Martinez still keeps his title and the unification with GGG alive?
Or does Floyd go for that MW belt at a 157 catch weight?
Either way, a 5'10'' southpaw with the speed and power Martinez has is a real danferous foe. I don't think this fight happens, not when they can make the Khan fight, which imo probably makes more PPV money due to the British connection.
And here's another fact for you. Floyd will make a boat load of cash from fighting Sergio, while appeasing many boxing fans, such as myself.
At the end of the day, what matters most? Boxing fans being interested enough before the fight, and forking over the $70 come fight night, or the aftermath of the fight, and people saying how it was an overrated win?
Oh I see now. Let me guess, you're one of those guys who think the weight had something to do with Canelo's performance huh? Talk about people who like to discredit Floyd.

I always maintained Floyd-Canelo at 152 was like Pac-Cotto at 145.
Cotto and Canelo were huge and healthy on fight night, vastly superior in size to their opponents. Both maintained they made weight perfectly fine. Both looked generally like how they always do, only they were fighting the two best fighters of their time. Floyd had fought at 154 before, Pac had fought Oscar at 147 before. Both Cotto and Canelo were top fighters at those weight classes, though Canelo was coming off a HUGE win.

That is something we'll never know. The only thing that is certain is that Floyd felt that he needed a weight advantage therefore the fight was in fact contested at 152. All this mind you with him having already being at 154 twice before.
