Manny is always a viable opponent for floyd, agree. So in that regard he doesn't have to "earn" a floyd shot. In terms of "earning" a shot at the lineal title-i think its fair to say beating a ww does that more than beating a JWW.

floyd's weakness is lefties with speed. Floyd wins these fights. usually going away.

manny's weakness is counter punching boxers with movement. Manny lost to morales, tim (i thought he won) and has not decisively beaten JMM in 4 fights.

Its clear one guy can overcome his weaknesses while the other guy not so much.
