Beating Cotto in 2012 wasn't the same as beating him in '08. So beating PAC in 2014 isnt the same as beating him in 2010. So I give credit but not that much because they are not in their prime anymore. And Floyd could have fought them then it's not like he just came along n the only version he had a shot at fighting was the declined ones. And Floyd scared for some reason. It's very obvious to everyone. And the reason I wanna see Floyd fight him is because Pacquiao is better then anyone Floyd has fought in the last 5 yrs.

So Pacquiao is better than JMM? Either way. Why is it that Floyd recieves all the blame for those fights not happening? Do you not find it a tadbit ironic that the only guys Floyd has "ducked" are TR fighters?

But let's not even go down that road because you're very strong in your belief and your mind won't be changed. So I pose the question I've been posing on this whole thread and gotten very lil feedback to. How do they realistically make the fight happen?

You are basically saying Manny earned the fight based on what he's done in the past. Floyd sr is basically saying what have you done for me lately. Both points are valid, with the caveat that floyd sr is an idiot who no one should listen to.

Manny doesn't get an emeritus spot in everyone's mind. He does in yours because you are a huge fan.

If we look at the fight as an event-manny has more than earned it. If we look at it as a shot at the lineal title- a win over Rios doesn't elevate him past Tim or JMM for that. IMO he is ahead of every other ww accept these 2.

You still don't get it. The argument is from Sr is that Pac has to do something more to get a shot at Floyd. That is NOT true. If Guerrero deserved the fight, so does Pac. THAT is not in the least bit arguable!!!! PERIOD! And no one said anything about elevating him past JMM or Bradley!!! Guys who get title shots are in the top 10, not just in the top 2 or 3.

JMM beat him once out of 4 tries. If anything they are equal. I think PAC is Better but that's me. And yea bob n tr was a problem too but Floyd never wanted to fight IMO. There was always something. And a way to start trying to make the fight is by showing some interest. Manny did, Bob did too and brought up how HBO and Showtime worked together to get a deal done in the past. Same can be done now. Floyd and Sr too shook though.

OK I understand the financial issues, which BTW are another likely stumbling block. But I was speaking moreso about how do they realistically get around all the promotional, and now network issues?

Arum and GBP have to see dollars in their eyes, big dollars to put aside the differences for the fight and I don't think that is impossible for what is at stake. The fight could actually set them on a course for future fights. I have seen for more difficult impasses passed through outside of Boxing, it can happen here. Money changes everything. But, with all the huge egos involved, egos sometimes get the best of everything and are like holes in the universe, they suck all the energy out of everything and hence- no fight....too many big ***ing egos getting in the way. Damn I wish GBP and Arum woke up tomorrow with 100K to their name. Dose of humiliation would go a long way.

1. manny still brings the most money

2. Manny is back in the win column with a nice win over rios

3. Manny is better than any of the other potential floyd opponents

4. ghost, ortiz, and now probably khan have all gotten fights by beating rios level fighters like berto

5. If floyd only fights guys on big winning streaks, then he should be fighting bradley or garcia as those are the only guys that have earned the floyd fight,, everyone else is just a cash grab by floyd and his team
