Don King was a vicious crook and con man. Arum is the exact same way.... except that he is educated.

Which makes him much more dangerous.

I'm surprised to see you talking such nonsense as you generally are a readable poster. There may be a law that the Promoter has to send in the money. And he may be doing it to save the extra time passing through another set of books. You don't know, I don't know and what the hell difference does it make anyway. The taxes have been paid. Arum is far too big a man to be involved in rubbish with his top fighter. He employs hundreds of people and probably only set up the original instructions with the relevant accountants years ago.

I get fed up with the outrageous speculation...like a horde of blood-hungry mad hounds yapping at some poor devil's heels. I'd thik you'd be ashamed to attach yourself to such a crew.

No, is Koncz who controls everything. He is the adviser so he is the one talking to him about his earnings. The minute Pac get his check, he deposits that into the bank and he does as he please. Koncz is not going to let Manny get an accountant because, we all ask a lot and we want to know the real numbers. Yeah, Bob lies to Pac about how much money he should be making and that is why he have Koncz in there. If Pac hires a financial advisor, the story of Oscar and Floyd can repeat itself.

I've reached my limits of disgust for the cretinous dogs on this site. I'm really disgusted by Hectari, whom I'd always thought a reasoned, intelligent poster. I'm signing out.

I really hope that Arum is not Pacs's accountant then he really is in trouble.

Arum is a notorious liar and is an attorney that means that he is a hired liar.

They're also sipping his ass dry too.

Greedy Arum is lining his own coffin with Manny Pacquiao's hard earned cash and will leave him destitute while Arum counts his millions in Hell.

There is an awful lot if speculation here! Much as I hate Arum I would not accuse not knowing the facts....If hate is to be had, hate the IRS and their greedy counterparts in the Phillipines.

Here is what I do know: routinely many ethnic Chinese and other local corrupt special people parts of the administration are allowed to dodge taxes. It is documented that the IMF, for example allowed assets to be acquired by rich citizens that were supposed to be for the economy. The tax laws are levied to be punitive....in my opinion i find it hard to imagine that the tax authorities (which are documented as being corrupt) are going after Pac for storm relief. The only relief that will ever reach people, a day after the storm, to a year later is relief that is physically dropped into their hands via helicopter.

Unfortunately Pac needs his faith and his resoucefulness (he is not ****** folks) because he has a management team wth questionable ethics, a bunch of petty, greedy sycophants who smile to his face and pretend to be glad of his success but want to destroy the "upstart" who is sincere....and he has their enforcer, the IRS and local tax authority. Most boxers are brought down by the IRS....this guy has three enemy groups.

Sometimes a pure heart trumps all though. I believe that Pacs best weapon is his simple kindness and good nature. He probbaly has good friends that know whats up.

But its not just a matter of taxes owed...The tax authorities are corrupt people. Pac would and probably has given more money to those in need than what he will ever pay in taxes. He knows and everyone with any sense knows that the tax obligation is a red herring. Proof is that if it were not, at the very least the tax people would work with him...And the amount of time is academic! The tax authorities have this thing called interest see?

I don't know all the facts, and I don't fully understand all of this tax and accounting business. I just really hope that things work out in Pac's favor. He seems to be getting screwed here. He's a good, honest and hard working man who doesn't deserve this.
