Groves was the mandatory. Froch decided to take it, but his promoter went for it. Joe had a fight with Hopkins for more money. He also won titles from my memory too.

He did what he always does, he makes a superhuman warrior comeback, groves was gassed and hurt, froch was on the way to another majestic, win, that would have made him a hero.And people talk about a fix! how exactly did that favour froch?

Groves was not gonna win on Saturday, in or after the 9th, if people cant see what was happening as the fight progressed then they don't know boxing, the signs were there, the body language was there, he was tired, he was being hurt regular, he would not have held up to it even if he somehow made it out the 9th (unlikely)

He's been badly hurt like that before against Anderson and Degale, both times near the end of a round fortunately for him

JMM's condition in the first round of his first fight with Pac was 10x worse than than of Grooves. Yet he recovered, and proceeded to outbox Pac for much of the remainder of the fight. I don't think a single person watching that fight would have objected if the ref had stopped the fight after the third KD.

My point is, you can't assume an outcome. Especially when Grooves had basically wiped the floor with Froch. In JMM's situation, had the ref waived that fight off. Considering how up until then it had been pretty much impossible for JMM to land a big name. We probably wouldn't know who JMM is today.

I agree with Booth.

I thought Froch looked old in the Kessler fight. Both fighters actually looked like shot fighters in that one both took a lot of punishment. After that fight I thought his best days were behind him and it was proven true with the way Groves out classed him.
