The referee robbed Froch just as much as he did Groves, if not more so.

People are so hard on the Groves bandwagon that they refuse to see that the tide was clearly turning. Groves was getting very sloppy and fighting Froch's fight - brawling with him. Froch deserves credit for changing the complexion of the fight in his favour.
The tide was turning but who's to say it wouldn't turn again. We've seen groves comeback from worse when he was on the floor vs Anderson. A 36 year old who had just punched himself out trying to end it may have been vulnerable himself if the ref didn't make the big mistake

I think he would have stopped him, but it doesn't count if the ref doesn't let it happen. The referee prevented Froch from stopping him by pulling the plug prematurely.

        Which is a poor scorecard.

I think a points win over Froch trumps that and the rematch money would be better. If the judges were straight that is the way it was looking to me. I have big ???? over how much Hearn had the ref and judges in his pocket. It looked to me the ref jumped in at the first good chance to stop the fight to save embarrasment of having to justify a Froch points win.

Froch is not Kenny Anderson. Anderson took that fight at a couple of weeks notice and ironically Groves probably got a much worse stoppage in that fight yet ducked a rematch.

Did anyone expect Bradley to go the distance after the first two rounds against Provodnikov?

Kenny didn't appear to protest much at the time and besides that was a domestic fight. This was a PPV 2 title championship fight so the circumstances are different.

A bad stoppage is a bad stoppage.

IMO Groves was winning the fight and his punches had a lot more venom on them than Froch's. Froch hurt him but no way to the point where it was a foregone conclusion that he was doomed,i think the odds were much better that he would have made the finall bell.
                    This right here ^^^^^^^

I didn't see the kid getting stopped....he was starting to fall apart imo though....but who's to say a rest break wouldn't have helped the kid regain his composure and command of the scrap

I haven't picked against Froch in God knows how long....I even had him picked to beat SOG in their S6 clash.....I roll with Froch heavy....but I think he should be thankful the ref was in the pocket or on something much more stronger than weed.....Saint G should be the owner of those straps Froch is in possession of atm

I thought Froch would've got him eventually, or at least downed him to make the fight closerr.

That doesn't mean the stoppage is just. It just doesn't.
