    It's not that he wouldn't have stopped him (he could very well have) but the fact that Froch had just landed clean when he got crushed by the right hand that dropped him in the 1st round. Pitiful stoppage and anyone with any sense knows that.

    Groves was jobbed by an ignorant ref that probably had money on a 9th round stoppage himself.

      This sums it up. Martinez was in way, way worse shape than Groves and finished. Froch was coming on but the kid was firing back and should not have been pulled out like that. Froch was twice as hurt in the 1st round and the ref should have ordered him a stretcher after holding him down if he was governing the fight equally. He wasn't BTW.
