    Yeah Billy Dib...

    He won but it's Billy

That's his tactic, get hit and hit back

A trainer can't give a fighter talent, only bring out the talent.

edit: Would a Roach trained Rios do any better? I don't think so, Rios just hasn't got what's needed to compete with someone like Pacquiao.

Another Robert Garcia fighter is about to lose called Maidana.I remember last year people were saying Robert Garcia is the best trainer in the world even though his fighters were fighting low quality opposition lol.I did`nt say nothing because,i decided to just let these fools see how good Garcia is when his fighters start fighting fighters with a pulse.Robert Garcia is the Freddie Roach of 2013.Roger Mayweather is so right when he says people don`t know sh#t about boxing.

He gives his fighters bad strategies, and you never see any adjustments. However, some of the guys he has as fighters are limited. I think he changed Margarito's style to something that was awkward for Margarito, as far as his stance and other things. Rios, has always been very limited. Donaire, only does good against one style. Rios' strategy against Pacquiao was very transparent, Garcia had no adjustments, and their was no urgency in his corner. It was more of a "play it safe, we know we're going to lose" kind of strategy. So, yes I think the trainer is very overrated. Rios is a C/D level fighter.
We'll said. Mikey Garcia is mainly trained by his Dad. Can't give rob yo much credit. I hate how Robert has no plan B or C all he ever says is throw more punches.

Garcia is still a great trainer, not even a Rios under Angelo Dundee's tutelage would have defeated Pacquiao. FOH with that nonsense.

I didn't like what he was telling Rios. It was like he was content for his boy just to get a payday. He was content with Rios just lasting. There was no fire in him at all. At around the 8th round he should have told Rios to make the fight ugly, to go for broke and to get him fired up. Rios would have been better off getting knocked out or knocking Manny out instead of taking a 12 round sustained beating. Even his ear muffs were not helping him much.
