At this time I would tend to agree that Golovkin has the edge. Froch's chin was cracked tonight and Golovkin no doubt can stop the fight. Golovkin after all is a finisher with killer instinct. Golovkin will be stalking Froch until he finishes him and no way he'll start gassing like Groves.

Froch looked like he always does, he's just massively overrated. He's tough, but that's pretty much all he really has going for him.

Anyone who calls Groves a journeyman is obviously an ignorant moron.

      But yeah, Golovkin beats Froch.

Yea I would agree. GGG has a bigger reach than Groves and is much more active with his jab. Froch only rehydrates up to 175, so it's not like he'll have a huge size advantage. Their movement is about the same (Groves and GGG). Groves looked quicker than he actually is because Froch is terribly slow. Groves did not look this quick against DeGale.

It's the main reason I don't think GGG has a chance at 168, most guys that move up generally have the reflexes of a smaller man and that helps them tremendously, not GGG though.
Even though GGG can be hit, he never makes the mistake of coming in with his neck loose and his chin vulnerable when he transfers his weight from side to side, unlike Froch. He's always aware of his position. Froch just showed how easy he is to time in exchanges. He isn't fast. He's just asking for a right body hook followed by a left hook to the chin. GGG's timing wasn't excellent against Stevens, but I'm pretty sure his reflexes are sharper than Groves's. He has all the punches to dismantle Froch. His right hand is more devastating and accurate than Groves's. Gennady would be Froch's worst nightmare..
I've heard Gennady's LHW+ sparring partners say some scary things about his power..

Lol is this a joke, a Journeyman and undefeated. Since when does beating the Olympic gold medalist & koing 15 of 19 make him a journeyman

Groves is for real man, im a convert for sure. I well underestimated him. He's got skills, power and timing.

Now the question really should be did Froch underestimate him, or has he just had too many hardcore fights.

In reply to the thread, never seen GGG fight anyone near Froch's level or even at the higher weight class. I will hold judgement till he either does or moves in weight.

Groves is way quicker than GGG, and froch would knock that boy spark out!

Thats because Degale is super fast, hand speed on that man is brilliant. Shame about the work rate though.

He has always been very easy to hit, I don't see how it was a shock to anyone.

How is an undefeated prospect a "journeyman".

Golovkin's style is far more suited to Froch than Groves'
