I think Marquez-Pacquiao 5 is a more entertaining fight that is also more likely to happen. Should have VADA tests of course.

Arum is old and he just as much as anyone wants to see the fight happen. I do feel that he genuinely wants to make the fight happen. The man doesn't have much time left on this planet. We can at least believe him when it comes to this.

The very fact that Team Mayweather made an attempt to compromise also hurts your point in saying that they could have been bluffing. And the money usually is the number one deal breaker.
Berto wasn't caught three months before the fight. Peterson was caught very early though.
