Of course Froch took more punishment than Groves. Doesn't mean Groves didn't take his share. Both took a lot of punches and plenty of punishment.

Groves still look plenty. Froch might have missed a lot of punches he also landed plenty of punches and his face showed it. By the time it was stopped his face was a mess, to a state that's not possible no matter how easily you bruise unless you've taken plenty of punches. After the fight at the press conference just from hearing him speak you could tell he'd taken plenty of hard punches.

Denying it is ridiculous to me. Groves might have been winning the fight but it's not like a Mayweather-Canelo situation like you and others are making out where Groves barely had a glove landed on him, he took a lot of punches and was breaking down fast.

Groves took his share - I just wouldn't call it punishment. That's all I want to say. He wasn't dropped or particularly wobbled at any stage. He was shook towards the end, no doubt. I just wouldn't call it punishment.

I don't think it was a mess. In the post fight interview he looked fine. The darkness around the eyes came later on. Let me put it this way, if Froch had received the same "punishment" Groves received, his face wouldn't have looked the same.

I'm not saying that, it just took him a while. After 7-8 rounds, Froch hadn't decisively won a round. He probably took the 5th, but even in that round groves had some success. He probably took 8th as well, but it was damn close.

Groves just simply bossed the fight.

You don't need to be dropped or hurt to take punishment.

Meldrick Taylor didn't get hurt or dropped in the first 8 rounds of the Chavez fight but he he take any punishment? Yes.

Look at Rios on the weekend against Pacquaio.

To say his face was fine in the post fight interview is just ridiculous. Go and look at Groves interveiw with IFilm London backstage not long after the fights over before the press conference. His face is a mess. If you say him on the street you'd think he'd been beaten to a pulp if he walked passed you. You can't to that state without taking a lot of punishment.
