Dan, I respect your opinion on most topics, but honestly you sound like you are too biased on Froch's behalf.

Groves didn't take "punishment" - He took nothing more than what you would expect in going up against a top class fighter. He didn't catch many clean shots and wasn't dropped multiple times or anything like that.

He sparred Dirrell and came in with a black eye. Even after the Adamu fight he was marked a bit. Of course light skinned people get easier marked than darker skinned people.

It usually fades quickly as well - case in point, see his interview with Sky from monday.

Me being biased has nothing to do with the punishment Groves took which is very clear to see.

Being "marked up abit" and his face after Froch is two different levels. Yeah fair skinned people tend to bruise easier but they don't bruise to that extent unless they've shipped a lot of shots and you don't have to be dropped or hurt to take punishment either.

Even just forget the rounds. Look at the fight as a whole after 8 rounds and if you think Carl Froch was in any way on level terms with Groves at that point, I'm sorry - you just don't know what you're watching or you have some kind of bias.

Yes it was closer than Jim Watt was suggesting but Froch was quite clearly behind.

I think maybe people are so appalled by Watt's commentary that they've gone to the other extreme and are now giving Froch rounds just because of it.

I think most felt Groves was ahead, but there where a lot of close rds that could be scored to Carl..To suggest Carl only won 1 or 2rds I just can't agree with that..
