i'm just going on the eye test / considering the size of his peers and the landscape boxing with a 30 hour window after the weigh in, but i have a hard time believing him if that's what he says. obviously i'm not weighing carl froch all the time, so i'm just speculating based on what he looks like (fit, but not fighting fit,) and what his peers will go through physically after they fight. ward, dirrell, kessler, even abraham, a former middlewieght, all get well over 180 lbs quickly after they finish training. i'd have to talk to a modern pro trainer to really pin down the weights, but virtually everybody is walking around much heavier than they are fighting.


that would essentially mean that froch is a much smaller guy who could make lower weights, and i have a hard time believing that. it's all but impossible to stay in weigh in shape year round unless there's weight to lose.
