I think HBO protected their investment/ and the push they are giving GGG when they wouldn't approve the Mora fight.

I mean I can understand if nobody knew who golovkin was and never fought in the usa,but the guy fights all the time on hbo,he's exciting,i hope ward doesn't mean he wants to wait so fight is bigger because nobody has heard of him,i really believe casual fans haven't heard much of golovkin but I don't think they know much about ward too,it's the perfect time to fight golovkin,he's still young at 31,if he waits 2 more years then that's too long I think

WHether showtime has any interest in Mora is not relevant to discussing a HBO PPV with GGG and ward.

For purposes of this thread HBO's attitude toward Mora releative to how he would make GGG look is the only thing I find relevant. HBO not approving th MOra fight and HBO telling us through Lampley that ward/ggg is not a fight we want to see right now are examples of them protecting their investment/push.

Hopefully, HBO will begin to build toward this fight this year. I hope they do for 2 reasons-its a great fight and IMO it will bring the GGG hype train to a screeching stop.

Ideally-GGG beats sergio then froch. Realistically he might have to do Mora and Froch if dibella keeps sergio away from him.

Guys, I know you can all read. Make no mistake. Ward is saying he would fight GG, and that GG isn't calling his name, and the fight is probably better down the line financially. At least that's what I got out of what Ward said.

Now...if you got "Ward is ducking GG" out of this, then it's not a matter of whether you can read...it becomes a matter of how well you undrstand WHAT you're reading.

Yea HBO didn't approve it because Mora has a horrible unwatchable style that spoils and is given absolutely no chance of winning. Why would they put that type of fight on? At least Stevens had a chance with his power and didn't make it ugly as hell

You just want golovkin to fight an ugly style to make him look bad even if he dominates him, basically you're a "hater"

Agree completely, Mora is very boring and doesn't even deserve a GGG fight. Can't remember when last I heard Mora's name mentioned in the mix of anything important. Wouldn't go so far as to call him a hater tho, he's jus expressing his opinion.
