Dibella says maybe Martinez will fight GGG later, like when hell freezes over.
If you watch the vid he actually says they may never cross paths

I don't like it. But I understand it. It's the nature of the new era of boxing.
When you put it that way I guess Dibella is doing his job well.

So, he'll fight two 154 fighters before fighting the actual middleweight #1 contender, who also has two championship belts and a reputation that if left alone, will continue to destroy sergios credibility.

        What a jack@ss.

As much as I'd like to see him fight Golovkin, these are two huge money fights and it's very hard for fighters to turn them down. Most boxers never make as much in their career compared to what they can make in one night.

Only Cotto/Martinez is possible though with Martinez's current HBO deal in place. A Canelo fight would've been possible if HBO broadcasted a Rubio fight, but they said they won't

Getting the biggest money fights, "New era".

Come on bro, you're a good guy. You think SRL vs Duran, Hagler-Hearns, etc. were cheap fights? You think these guys were fighting each other leaving better money fights on the table? These happened to be big money fights that were high risk.

It happened with Mayweather going up to fight DLH and Canelo. Big money fights, relatively big risk considering who was at 147-154.

                  Hopkins-Pavlik, big fight, big risk.

It happens. It sucks when the big money fights are lower risk. But this is not new at all. It's not new era at all, ask in the history section about SRR and his money.

And I won't be quick to say that at 38, Cotto and Canelo are lower risk. Martinez isn't a big guy, he's a former WW himself. He is very hittable and Canelo and Cotto can punch and are very accurate.

if Martinez wants to cash out, Cotto is his man
he'd knock Cotto out with ease and make bank on it
the meaningful fight is obviously GGG, but he gets beaten there
Alvarez is there for the taking, but it depends how worn Martinez is
with movement, he beats him easy, that's a money fight too
but if his legs are totally gone Alvarez could win it
want GGG most of these, but it will be Cotto, too easy to pass up

Time to face facts. Sergio is never going to fight Golovkin.
