AnDraino Ward does it again. Next he'll fight Klitchko at 168.

not on paper, but he'd absolutely be champion in my eyes. it would be one of the bigger upset wins in years.

Why are people saying Ward drained Rodriguez?

he and stevenson are similar in stature, and that's probably a fair comparison. rodriguez has huge shoulders. i've seen him in a leather jacket in person, and he was big up top.
It's not actually surprising. He redhydrated 20 pounds against Escalera.

fight night weights are a good measuring stick, but they're far from perfect. they weigh in fully clothed for those things, and i've even heard reports of guys weighing in shodden.

additionally, there have been contemporary fighters who have been close to or 20 lbs heavier on fight night who have been able to stay at the weight class for more than one fight.

rodriguez is a big guy, but there weren't any egregious signs that he was going to be unable to make 168. when he was coming up his team was having trouble deciding whether they wanted to fight for world titles at 160 or 168. they (larry army, and peter manfredo's dad,) originally wanted him to be a middleweight.
