Stop hiding at 168. There are figths to be made at 175. If you can fight and beat chad dawson you are good enough to be a light heavyweight.

Plus its a lot cooler sounding to be the light heavyweight champion of the world.
The money is at 168 with Chavez Jr and Froch II.

Hopkins, Kovalev, Stevenson all sound interesting but looking at it from a fighter's/promoters perspective, and knowing I already soundly beat the best around my weight class a couple years ago for lesser pay, I want the money fights now. Couple that with the fact that he has no trouble making 168. 175 currently makes no sense.

OMG, I knew someone was going to make a comment about ducking. Hiding at 168? Who is at 175 besides Stevens and even he isn't a big name outside of Canada! Hopkins has come on record and stated he wouldn't fight Ward. I'm guessing he's going to duck everyone at 175 since YOU want him to move up.

The 168 class is a joke anyways, they belong at Lightheavy and everyone could train hard eat healthy and not dehydrate themselves for a few pounds.
These junior weight classes are a big part of boxings weakness. Far to many so-called champions and all these 12 round fights that are boring as hell.

Go back to the original weigh limits and weighin are the morning of the bouts. You'll see men in shape and ready to go and no one will have an extreme weight advantage! If you weigh 155 your a middleweight, if your 168 your a lightheavy its only a few pounds for christs sake!!! Ray

Ward got great insiders because he said Months ago Edwin would struggle to make 168 and he was 100% Right!

A lot of the younger fighters just lack Discipline!

This was only meant to be a tune-up fight for Ward.
And that's what it will be -- now everyone knows.

                  Don't hope too much...
Rodriguez got paid handsomely for Ward's comeback fight...
Because this is Ward's comeback fight, not a supposed war over the 168 division reign...

Sure... Ward should go for the money -- as in the Super Six he fought actually for free...

But, with Chavez Jr facing irrelevance and with Froch getting older, I don't see Ward receiving the big paydays he is chasing for...

It feels like Chavez could fight (and lose to) Froch, then Froch would not rematch Ward.

I think those are the only two big pay-days out there for Ward.
