I don't want to think of JMM as a cheater. I'm a fan of his too. But you have to wonder , at that age , to keep improving?? I'm a fan of his , but I have to call it how I see it. He has a decent resume without Pac tho. I think HOF worthy. Not ATG by any means. Can't complain about the competition. But Casamayor in his prime something similar to what Floyd did to him. So if his fans want to make excuses for him being 40 and losing to Bradley. Then that win against Casamayor isn't that impressive.
Please point out this "improvement" you speak of being that Marquez was getting beat up more than he has in any of their fights because he decided to sit on his punches, throw less and rely on the right so what are you talking about

He just became a smarter fighter overall.

I just think JMM is probably the best counter puncher in the game , maybe after Floyd. He doesn't do it like Rigo with blazing speed anf crazy cat like reflexes , it's different , I don't know how to describe it. I know you know what I mean. It's almost like a perfect symphony when he does it. It's all in one motion and very coordinated. And he has gotten better at it with age. It's like he has perfected his style it's flawless almost.

I'm not referring to stamina or power or speed.

Actually, it was Joe Cortez who made Marquez. Had he stopped the first fight after the third knockdown like 99% of all refs, Marquez would be an HBO after dark fighter and nothing more. JMM owes his legacy to Cortez.

so jmm getting back up and winning the majority of the rounds had nothing to do with it?
