You don't understand how testing works whatsoever. A fighter doesn't just go out and take the test, hand the results to a Promoter and then they negotiate for a fight. The ONLY WAY testing agreements are put on paper is if there is a negotiation in process and it is added to the contract so I will excuse you for not knowing how testing works. Floyd called Pac and made a monetary offer and this was after Pac agreed to the tests. Pac at first did not agree to the cutoff and then agreed to all random testing, that is why Floyd was compelled to call and talk about the money split but he was wishful thinking that Pac would step around Arum although I wish Pac would but that could lead to an injunction and barring Pac from fighting till the case was settled and that would have been an epic *** up.
And again it took another 2 years before we saw Pacquiao agree to random blood testing in a fight. The one with Rios!Comment

I can completely understand why floyd is making manny beg just as I can understand why manny used his leverage in 09. I just think its time to let it go.
Floyd should craft an offer between base gurantee and ppv revenue such that manny makes double his biggest fight to date and manny should accept this. Fight and move on.Comment

Yes I understand that there are negotiations and then it is added to the contract. But again no contract was ever made, and no serious negotiations happened. Floyd called Pac, or at least his adviser but it didn't go beyond that. And again it took another 2 years before we saw Pacquiao agree to random blood testing in a fight. The one with Rios!Comment

You're largely misinformed.
This isn't the 40's where we had same day weigh ins.
Pacquiao has been weighing in on fight nights as a light welterweight when he campaigned at super featherweight.
When he eventually moved up to lightweight he rehydrated to 147lbs against Diaz!
It's a myth that Pacquiao is some tiny guy who miraculously move up all these weight classes, carrying his power etc. He's been rehydrating north of 10pounds for every bout under 130!
Right now at welterweight he rarely gains over 3 pounds on fight night, he is a fully fledged welterweight much like Floyd is.
No, you're largely miss informed. The fact he was 10lbs north of his 130lbs bouts, is not new. Almost every single fighter fights a few lbs above the weight they're suppose to weigh.
My point is he moved up starting at 112 all the way to 154 without losing any speed or power. That never happens. Again it would be like seeing Santa Cruz move up in weight and KO GGG. It would cause su****ion.Comment

Call it what you want but Floyd going around Arum's back because he does not want to work with Arum may have been wishful thinking but it also is a failure in itself because that just incited Arum. Maybe he thought he could get Pac to work outside of Arum, cant directly blame him for trying but it ultimately failed because he sparked Arum's huge ego into motion.Last edited by richardt; 11-12-2013, 01:03 PM.Comment

Nice writing Dennis but biased
You did not at all touch on the rediculous purse split that was demanded by Mayweather, he was either too greedy or just wanted to price himself out knowing he did not want to fight this guy.
Who was Mayweather to dictate the rules anyway?? Jail has definately tamed him, people inside have definately hit it home to him that he was SCARED to lose to Paquiao.Your writing is biased in Mayweather's favour. Yes he is gifted but nowhere as good as he makes himself out to be.Comment

And if all board members interviewing you first accused you of doing PEDS upfront, you would not want to work for them. There are other jobs where during an interview you would not be accused of something before you are hired. Your analogy was ******ed, to say the least.Last edited by richardt; 11-12-2013, 01:09 PM.Comment
