fighters will never take the hardest fights if the money isn't good. it's not a sustainable model. you cannot take hard fights one after theother and expect a long career.

what these guys want is a sport that isn't financially motivated, or even possible.

no boxer has ever lined up the best fighters one after the other just to please fans. they fight for money. promotors promote for money. they measure risk against potential rewards, and make decisions accordingly. their goal is to maximize earnings over the long run with as little risk as possible.

when the money is right for the hard fights, they'll be taken. that's the way it's always been.

boxing is a business ordered by money. if you want to watch a tournament format [and teams that share profits,] then find another sport.

would i like to see guys take the hardest fights in succession? of course. i am realistic about this game. i know too much about it to be anything else.
Good point! I am not sure anyone can present a boxer who unquestionably fought the absolute best opponent out there every fight. If they did not then technically they are ducking.

Duckers are everywhere! That's shame... Murray is one of them.
So why is Murray a "ducker" now? How do you know it was him that caused the fight not to happen? Sanchez was probably waiting outside of Murray's kids Elementary School threatening them so dude tucked his tail and ran, huh?

To me there are so many other problem with Boxing that this issue has a very low priority for me. In no other sport does a team play the best competition every game so I am used to this idea.

What bothers me most about boxing is the corruption. One big issue I would have is that if I was a contender I would never want to fight the rising star or HBO/Showtime darling unless I was convinced I could knock him out. How is ducking a concern when we can't rely on the officials of the sport to score bouts accurately??

Also what if from Murrays perspctive he feels like he got Robbed against Sergio. Do you think he will get a fair shake against Golovkin? If he doesn't knock GGG out do you really think he would be allowed to win a decision?

So he should go fight Garth Wood in Australia instead, I'm sure he'll get an even playing field. Or keep fighting no name Argies at home, no chance of getting robbed there.

So why isn't this challenger challenging the champ? Champ needs a fight, and has made multiple offers to Murray already.
